Hello! I hope you’ve enjoyed this small preview of my work. Currently, I’m writing my first novel after taking a break in my career.
In my last role at Flashpoint as their first and singular UX Researcher, I focused on developing research systems, documentation and share outs across departments. I collaborated with product, design, customer success, analysts, engineering and upper management while leading research planning, running studies, and reporting findings. We paid special attention to establishing strategies and success metrics for research driven insights using agile methodology within their risk intelligence platform.
Prior to Flashpoint, I worked with Randstad at Vanguard as a UX Research contractor for their robo-advisor platform, primarily on their emergency fund and financial goal products. Working within a robust research team, I had ample mentorship opportunities in order to learn, develop, and lead research initiatives.
During my MA graduate program from CMCI Studio/BDW at CU Boulder, I studied human-computer interaction design and UX research methodologies. I collaborated across a portfolio of clients in outdoor recreation and education, partnering with engineering, design and product teams. My personal capstone focused on accessibility design modifications in the kitchen, while my entrepreneurial capstone centered around rethinking human to smartphone behavioral patterns in the home.
Previously, I performed in real-estate marketing and nonprofit sectors as both a contractor and a full-time professional in San Francisco and Santa Cruz, CA. During this time I lead marketing initiatives, content creation, account management, and user flow improvements for a diverse set of English and Spanish-speaking clients.
My background is in cultural anthropology, and my in-depth ethnographic studies ranged from American evangelical cultures and high school football to internet dating and l'independentisme català movement in Catalunya.
